Samsung Electronics has announced the expansion of its One UI 7 beta program to include additional Galaxy devices, further integrating advanced AI capabilities across its product lineup.

Expansion of the Beta Program

Initially launched in December 2024 for the Galaxy S24 series, the One UI 7 beta program is now available for the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 models in India, Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Samsung plans to extend the beta to more devices later this month, including the Galaxy S23 series and the Galaxy Tab S10 series. Users interested in participating can apply through the Samsung Members app.

Key Features of One UI 7

One UI 7 represents a significant overhaul of Samsung’s user interface, introducing a more intuitive and AI-driven experience. Notable enhancements include:

  • Revamped Interface: A comprehensive redesign affecting icons, widgets, the camera app, and the lock screen, aiming for a more streamlined user experience.
  • Quick Panel Separation: The quick panel is now divided into two distinct sections—the notification panel and the control panel—for improved accessibility.
  • AI Integration: Enhanced AI features, such as advanced writing assistance and automatic call transcription, provide users with personalized and efficient interactions.

Official Release Timeline

The stable release of One UI 7 is scheduled to commence in April 2025. Devices like the Galaxy S23 series (excluding the FE variant) are expected to receive the update first, followed by the Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy S22 series, and Galaxy S21 FE in May. Other models, including select Galaxy A series devices, may receive the update in May or June. Samsung has emphasized that the official rollout timeline is subject to change, as the development team is focused on ensuring a stable software experience before the final release.

Participation in the Beta Program

Samsung encourages users of eligible devices to participate in the One UI 7 beta program to experience the new features firsthand and provide valuable feedback. This collaborative approach aims to refine the user experience ahead of the official release.
